Why Body Bar MD

“Medicine is personal – it is your health. It is a collaboration between us. It’s not just me telling you or prescribing what to do – it’s about taking the time to listen, then using my expertise to formulate a wellness plan that we agree on together”

Direct Primary Care to Serve You

I always envisioned being a small town doctor, to help people. Now I can do that in a meaningful way, the way I always thought it should be!

I left “traditional medicine” because…traditional primary care practices don’t offer the personalized, focused care I believe patients deserve. People depended on me for care and I couldn’t deliver for them in that system. It is simply not good care to believe that we can take care of someone’s life in a 15 minute office visit every 3 months.

Direct Primary Care (DPC) affords me time to get to know a patient. I can figure out how to improve their overall health and well-being. It takes quality time with patients to discover the root cause of an issue and not just treat the symptoms of a disease or illness. I also like knowing that if my patients need the care of a specialist, I can send them to the best doctor for them – not just the one who is in the right network. I’m always available to my patients and offer them same-day and next-day appointments when they seek immediate help.

Care Philosophy and Mission Statement

My mission is to figure out how I can work with you to help you grow as a person and improve your health. That’s why I got into medicine. I really care about people and being able to see and be a part of their improvement and change means a great deal to me. I want to help people achieve the best version of themselves.

Compassion, integrity and responsibility are the personal and professional values that drive my approach to treating patients. I want you to know that I truly care about you as a person, and am on your team in this sometimes tumultuous journey toward achieving lifelong health.

I feel blessed to be able to do what I do. As doctors, it’s a privilege to care for another human being and bring them comfort and relief in a time of need. We have a responsibility to our patients to do the best we can for them every day. We must act with integrity and communicate honestly, so patients can give us their full trust.

Why Join my Practice?

In nearly 20 years of practicing medicine, I have been able to see many emergencies and the terrible illnesses that impact patients. It has made me even more passionate about helping my patients achieve health and wellness. It has taken me on my own journey that will focus on primary care, lifestyle medicine. I am committed to helping my patients become the best version of themselves!

It starts with listening, getting the story. Next is asking the directed questions to help me start formulating a plan. Then it is discussing this with my patient, collaborating on care and frequent follow ups to ensure we are on the right track!

This is a practice dedicated to integrated wellness, healthy eating, optimal hormone balance, aesthetics and internal medicine. We focus on helping patients establish healthy lifestyle habits and try to avoid use of medications when possible.

It’s my job to prioritize what’s important when evaluating treatment options. There are some things that require fixing first, or the rest doesn’t even matter. We can’t change everything at once. There are no quick solutions. Let’s take this journey together and we’ll take it one step at a time to achieve optimal health and wellness, so you can fully enjoy your life.
